How to feed my goby

OK, I have a 75 gallon with a damsel and a Orange Spotted Goby. The goby keeps to himself on the bottom of the tank. When I feed them, I normally use 2-3 flakes and grind them up so the damsel can eat the pieces. The goby can swallow whole flakes. The damsel goes all over the tank to find the pieces. The goby, OTOH, only eats what comes to him. Well, this is kind of hard to do, to make the food sink and land somewhat in the goby's corner. I am considering getting rid of the damsel (he came with the tank) but that still won't help if the Goby isn't more aggressive about his food. They do love brine shrimp so I was thinking about getting some mysis for him - is it similar in consistency to brine?
Help! Any ideas? I am supposed to take my anemone back today for a partial refund but the weather is NOT cooperating. I dont care to drive thru sleet and snow if I dont absolutely have to. But I would like to get another fish and am comtemplating taking the damsel to the LFS. Ideas??

you can try using a turkey baster, just make sure it is plastic. Its good to get a variety of foods for them. The goby will eat the brine and mysis, just squirt some down to him with the baster. use frozen brine and mysis and soak in some vitimins, there are several types you can buy....either here or you lfs.

Thanks L&D. Can you describe to me the consistency of the mysis? I haven't tried using it yet but am planning to. The only things I feed now are the flakes daily and brine soaked in vita chem every few days - I know they need more variety. That's why I was planning on getting some mysis- but I have nothing to compare it to but the brine. I have a packetfull of silversides in the freezer for my anemone but he goes back tomorrow.

Mysis is a type shrimp....just like brine but bigger. I've been able to get my goby to eat some pellets. Try picking up some small pellets, i use Spectrum Marine Fish Formula. look in the aquarium supplies section here for a pic. I have learned that there is another one like it that says it 'Boosts immune system to repel parasites' just like the other one but with a extra boost(lol, i guess)Spectrum Thera-A Anti Parasitic Formula....i'm gonna try that when i run out of what i have. the damsel should eat it as well.
I'd also check into some more vitamins....i use vita chem now. From what i've read in another post....you should rotate between a few....next time i get a change i'm gonna buy some different kinds myself.

L&D thanks for the info - I will pick up some mysis and the pellets when I go to the LFS. I am using Aquadine flakes now - ever heard of them? I have this sneaky feeling the LFS owner pointed me towards the most expensive of everything lol.

never heard of it, which doesn't really mean nothing, lol.
lfs do try and get anything they can out of us. I've been fairly lucky, my local guy is pretty good and knowledgable.
I find things not to far in price from what i can get online.
