How to frag mushroom corals

I want to frag a mushroom coral and I want to know how to do it. I want to frag a small 1/2 inch wide red polyp mushroom coral.

i found that if you just cut the cap off, both pieces seem to heal quicker. just cut the cap off with a razor blade and place it in a small jar with some substrate in it and it will eventually attach itself.

if the shroom you want to frag is attached to a rock, just cut the cap off, both pieces seem to heal quicker. cut the cap off with a razor blade and place it in a small jar with some substrate in it and it will eventually attach itself. if it's a loose shroom, then you can cut it in half.

Basically just cut the shroom in half across the mouth. Place it in a small dish with substrate within your tank and let both halves heal, then u can re-glue them to a rock once they full again.
