how to get a anemone to stick?

Just started to put coral in a 225 reef and
am having a time to get a sebatious (sp)
anemone to stick or stay put,..
any ideas ?

all of mine(dfferent varietys)all have done the same thing which is to go where they damn well please.once was succesful by wedging into several live rocks but i think it worked because he liked it.i also feed them immediatly after placing them in the spot i want them in that sometimes works. good luck

Your anemone will only move if he doesn't like where he is. I put my H. magnifica anemone on a rock in the middle of a sandy area, and they don't like sand much so he stayed put. However, I went for about a month without light at one stage and he climbed up the glass right to the top of the aquarium to try and get more light. When I got my new bulbs I put him back and he stayed put again. Anemones generally seem to like high lighting intensity, no less than 175-watt Metal Halide or they will not live (except perhaps VHO or PC), I have mine under 400-watt Metal Halides.

they gow where they want tooooooooooooooooo make sure the water current is not to strong where you want them and they might stay in that area!!!!!! with any luck //////
