how to get detritus off rock

Hey i cycled my tank and now im noticing the brown poopy i expected on my rocks. How do you guys reccomend i get it off? I was thinking just scrubbing it with a toothbrush then letting my filter suck it up? Or should i wait until i do a water change, brush it off then change the water?

you got a good CUC? Isnt it the diatom bloom? my tank had it too, my snails took care of it in a few days

Before water change get the reef keepers friend, a brand new shiney turkey baster. Use it to blow the rocks off, change the water, turn the filters back on. Will put any detritus into the water column for removal. Do this everytime you do a water change. Don't blow too hard or you will cause a sandstorm too.

ohh ok, i have 4 nassarius snails which i didnt think would clean the rocks only the sand?
