had one found locally from the beach here but he made now a buffet of my 2 coral banded
would like to add some other species of shrimp (cleaner or so) but I am sure that pistol would just enjoy it too much as free lunch again.
So how to get rid of it? if possible as they never show?

Are you sure it was a pistol shrimp and not something else? Mine has never hurt anything else in my tank. Anyway, you should be able to find its burrow. It will just look like a hole next to one of your peices of LR.

I at one point added a pair of Caribbean pistols to my 14G Biocube that killed almost all of my original tank mates when I started. Cleaner shrimp, Bi Color blenny and two emeralds. Those traps don't work and I had to tear my tank apart to get the little sob's out.

I did it during a water change so I had some extra water put in rubber maid buckets while I pried the boogers out. Good luck, it sure wasn't fun for me!
