how to get rid of red alge

i have tryed turbo snails and they died the second day i got them . i dont know if i should try anthor type of snail or what.
please help

How did you acclimate the snails? Inverts need to be slowly acclimated over a period of at least 2 hours. They are very sensitive to salinity changes, and of course temp. Are the tank conditions favorable, meaning the nitrites, pH, ammonia, ect? HTH
