I bought an algae culture to feed to my brine shrimp. Im supposed to make a container of saltwater at 1.25 specific gravity. I want to have a total of 24oz. How much salt by weight should I add? I guess thats about 35ppm. I have a ppm calculator and it says to use .024 grams but that doesnt seem right.

Its 1.025 SG you are after. You should be able to do the math according to your salt mix directions to get somewhere close. If it says 1/2 cup salt per gallon of water, then for 24oz of water, you would use about 1/5 of a 1/2 cup, or .8oz of salt (check my math).
Then test with a refractometer and adjust accordingly.

1.025 SG is what you need. And Slice's math looks good. Double check with a refractometer.
