How to glue Acrylic for DIY tank?

#16 #16 IN A TUBE THATS THE KEY , I paid 6.50 on line for a large tube at u s plastic. I 've seen it for as high as 16.00 or more .........................

THEY SOLD ME A SYRIENGE AND I PUT THE TWO PIECES TOGETHER AND SLOWLY PUSHED IT INTO THE JOINT I HAVEN'T HAD THE TIME TO GLUE THE TANK YET I HAVED JUST PRACTICED ON SMALL PIECES

well I glued the two -4ft pieces down w/o problems. I tried one of the side pieces, but found a small chip in one which will comprimise it's strength. Have to replace it. Other than that, it's pretty easy. I feel REALLY light headed right now from the fumes though :(

how big is the chip? The beauty of this stuff is that you can take some acrylic shavings from a peice of scrap and make a thickened cement and fill in the cip and it will work just fine.

p, I already replaced it. If nothing else, peace of mind.
I only have a couple more joints to glue (I'm taking my time, want to do it right) and then I'll start on the wood trim.
The canopy will be another project on it's own, but I purchased the ballast for it tonight as a start. 2 - 60watt bulbs is what this one is capable of, but I only plan on running two 40's. Wiring will be interesting as what I want will be rather complex...I'll start another thread when I get this underway...
