I use these guys, they should be nationwide.

They are the same people who make the Scotts Fertilizer found in Home Depot and Lowes. I have used them for years and I have one of the best lawns on the block. They guarantee no weeds, so if they pop up again you will get another service for free.
I have also run the numbers and the cost for the to do my lawn is equal to me buying the fertilizer at Lowes and doing it myself.
Another secret is having a healthy lawn to out compete the weeds for sunlight and water. Mow the lawn and water correctly (there should be tips on the Scotts website).
Good luck,
Chris

I'd use some gasoline!
Once I worked for some folks. They got suckered into buying some vegitation killer which I was applying at the fence line. Well I got down to read the directions. And they recommended mixing it with diesel. I was like well then what the **** is the 50 dollars a gallon weed killer for? How dumb is that? Some got bamboozled.
As a person of latin american decent, you can do it the way me, and my grandpa used to do it. On our hands and knees by hand one weed at a time. It really works.

If round up doesn't do it then I don't know what will. Let me give you a preventative suggestion. This time next year, assuming you want to keep the bed free from weeds in the future, put down some PREEN. You can also do it this year for future weed prevention. It is a preventative weeder. It will kill the seed before it grows. Now it will also kill the seed you want to grow so be careful. If my beds are starting to turn green with the stuff I planted or I have a brand new bed, I always put it down. I have mimimal weeds during the season. Last year I got lazy and didn't do it because I was busy messing around with my new tank. Anyhow, I had weeds galore. I did it 2 weekends ago and then spot zapped my weeds that popped up before the PREEN and I should be good to go all summer with mimimal weeding. I did kill a black eyed susan one year because it hadn't started to come up before I put it down. Timing is important.

preen is good stuff but make sure it can't get into a water system because it is bad stuff for that as in kills lots of stuff other than weeds. Use preen if its in a flower bed or something. If you are trying to kill weeds in the lawn most weed and feeds are only good as a pre emergent which prevents the seeds from germinating. So if the weeds have allready grown it won't do anything to them. As for fertilizing try to find Milorganite. I have had a greener lawn with that than any of the scotts/ other fertilizers.
