how to make a wet/dry filter or drip filter

Hello,
I have a 38 gal tank that i use for my reef. From what i've read wet/dry filter or drip filter is better. I currently have a hang skimmer, canister and aquaclear hang filter with ice probe built in it and 2 powerheads.
Is there an article or any information how to built a wet/dry filter using a 10 gallon tank and what i need

ohh 1 more thing. I have 40lbs of live rocks and 25lbs of live sand as well. All water specs always been perfect, but another reason i want to change is clutter look on the back top of my tank.
