how to position an inline protien skimmer

If I use a 29 gal tank as a sump, and bought a berlin or comprable inline skimmer, how would this be set up as far as the pump and plumbing? Nothing is set up yet, I am just planning ahead and don't understand how it all works, thanks

most in sump skimmers sit right in sump with pump connected to them check to make sure u have room in sump beside your main pump if u dont u can go with like a berlin hob and hang it on your sump if sump is more than 14 inches tall for berlin there is no real plumbing other than the hose that goes to skimmer. unless u want to get fancy )
