Not to be curl or nething i was curious wat is the most unstressful way to puff a puffer? lol if that makes sense

I have heard that puffers will puff up a couple of times a day just on there own. However, there is no 'unstressful' way to puff up a puffer without hurting it.

Sadly, i wish i had the courage to announce this then... i was ashamed but the eel did not bite the puffer. i was trying to puff him up like they did at my ***** with the net. It still haunts me, please don't attempt to make him puff up. besides the noticable damage i caused, every time he puffs up, if he has a cause, is seroius stress.

Hmmm. Why would you be curious if you do not intend to make them puff up? I think this is the most inhumane way of stressing you puffers. As an owner of more than 10 puffers, I 've never seen any of my puffers doing it. However, they occasionally do puff up in a mild manner, which should be no concern. Puffing up will not kill your puffer instantly, but please do not risk the health of your puffer just for entertainment.

I see porkypine puffers down hear in florida all the time when I'm fishing. Sometimes there just puffed up floating around on the surface other times I'll catch one on accident that are under water. I heard that they puff up when another fish is going after it so it makes them look bigger.

This is kinda wierd and creul but the fish dude at my lfs told me about how he had a puffer and he would chase him around and grab him and then he would puff up and then he would give him a shrimp. It got the the point where he could just chase him and he would puff up, and then finally he could just make a grabbing motion on the side of the tank and he would puff up. Not like I condone puffer violence and abuse i just thought it was an "interesting" story
