How to spot feed in a 110gal.

I do not like to put my hands in the tank. I read on spot feeding for different types of corals. Can not figure how you do with out putting your hand in the tank. The same with setting coral in your tank or moving them around. What do you do? With the ank being so deep and on a stand I basically have to use a ladder and jump in.....

.... And that is why I am selling my 110g tank. Just make sure you don't wear deodorant on days you clean the fish tank! LOL
To spot feed, turn your pumps and powerheads off temporarily. You can use a turkey baster to gently push the food towards the coral. Anemones can pull a piece of shrimp or whatever off of a long plastic stick.
If you have corals that need spot feeding on the bottom of the tank, you could consider getting a little device called Julian's Thing.
... yeah, it doesn't sound right, but it does the job. I think they make one that would be long enough to reach the areas that you want in your tank.

Not only can you feed corals with the device, but you can also siphon up detritus and blow detritus off of of your bottom rocks. You can also apply liquid foods and medications with it as well. Nifty little device. I would like one, so order two and ship it to me when you get the chance. Thanks.

My 110g was also free! LOL They really are a pain in the arse. I was selling mine, but now I am honestly debating about it. 1. I already have it available 2. it's free and I don't have to buy another aquarium. 3. I have the stand already. 4. I don't have to buy a new tank so I have more money for a protein skimmer and calcium reactor. I dunno what to do now. lol

Do what i did suffer and not reach the bottom. Hey what do u feed your zoa's. Also did that fan help with your temp mine is going to 82 with the halides on. I'm thinking of putting a fan on the same timer and when they come on it goes on. What is your 2 cents on both?

Well, I have to agree that a 110 is not the tank for those who don't want to get their arm wet. But for me personally, I wouldn't ask for another tank.....I LOVE my 110. Then again, I'm 6' 4", so I can reach most of the tank without any issue. I need a small stool to reach the bottom back, but that's about it.
As for the fan you mentioned, it will definitely help keep the temp from climbing too high. Be prepared for greater water topoffs, though, because a fan blowing across the surfaces increases evap considerably.

Never really fed my zoas. I fed my paly's brine and sometime mysis. But never really fed zoas. I know they would probably do well with some powdered coral food though.

Hey Morgan....seems like you have alot of fun stuff going on in your tank...and your fairly close to me and a whole bunch of other reefers (im a member of WAMAS for the DC/Maryland/NoVa) what alot of the people are doing is the tongs and a 3 step stepstool..i dont know how tall yyou are but that combo works pretty good

Google the kent Sea squirt feeder...it is a fantasic gadget...it has a spike to hold solid food like a chunk of shrimp and it's a giant eye dropper to feed liquid and it telliscopes to get double it's length...It's a giant turkey baster really, but not really strong enough to blast the rocks clean.
