How to tell what video card I have

I'm fixing my boss' son's laptop. He got a virus the other day that wreaked havoc on the system32 directory. I decided the only way to fix it would be to reformat. Normally I have no problem with this (I actually used to work at Dell as a tech support about 7 years ago).
Well I've run into a problem. I can't tell what type of video card he has...or if he has an integrated one. Does anyone have any idea how to find what driver I need? I went to Dell.com to no avail. I even used the debug command and it didn't help me.
Anyne have any ideas? Theres a few other devices with "bangs" on them as well.

Go to My Computer...Right click...Properties...Hardware...Device Manager...it should be somewhere in device manager.

My dell laptop did the same thing to me. unless you tear apart the system, the only other way to find out is to go back to dells web site and look up the computer in there system. there you will see everything they installed in the computer. that is how I found out what I had in mine. you should have a service number on the bottom of the laptop that will direct you to his system.

You should be able to download the drivers you need from the laptop manufacturers website. All the big manufacturers make them available. Also, the laptop should have come with a driver cd with everything you need. Good Luck!!!

All these suggestions won't work if you don't have the driver installed guys. Thanks for trying to help though.
The dell CD didn't contain the contain the correct drivers, and the website lists about 20 drivers lol. Guess I'll try each driver from the website and delete them as I go. Thanks.

If its a Dell laptop, take a look at the bottom of the machine. You should see a label with a Service Tag number or an Express Service Code. You can enter that code on the support section of Dell's site and it will tell you everything that was installed on that machine when it was shipped.
