i have a basslet that is making it very hard for my other fish to enjoy my tank. he has every one confined to either the top half of the tank or around my anemone's that is my clown an 2 chromises. i need to get him out and put him in my other tank .standing there with a net staring at him for hours isn't going to work and i am not going to take out 100 lbs. of rock . any suggestions ? do those fish traps really work?

You can make your own fishtrap out of a 2 litter bottle or something similar. You just cut a circle around the opening and reverse it where its facing in. Staple it, and put some food in it to lure the fish in and bam you have him. Never tried this but have heard it works.

if that dosent work, try a piece of plexi glass the width and heigth of tank. take out a few rocks from one end of tank, put the plexi glass in, leaving it up about 2 inches. chase the fish under, and push down. now the fish is in a smaller space, and easy to catch.

now that sounds like a good plan i had my son chase him last night with a algae scraper trying to get him into the net but he is to good. i tried this morning when he is hungry baiting him with soe food but he was wise to that trick i like the plexi glass idea and i have a piece in the garage
