I feel really DUMB! I have fragged EVERYTHING but zoas. I have a rock full of zoas that I want to frag. Can I just cut them in half? How do I get them off the rock? Pretty much can anyone help with the easiest/safest way to frag zoas?

Well first of all, they secrete a very potent toxin, so you really shouldn't frag them without wearing gloves and a face shield. As far as the actual fragging, they grow in a connected mat, and you can simply cut and lift the mat off the rock (I use a scalpel), and then I superglue the frag onto a new rock or plug. I've also used a chizel and simply chizeled off a chunk of rock that they are on. Or, if they are actively growing, place a small rock next to the colony, and it will grow onto it, and then you simply cut and remove the new rock. I've heard that some poke toothpicks through the mat rather than using superglue, but I've never tried it.
