How will I find my blenny?

We took our 55 tank down and I have all of the fish except the blenny in the QT until our 150 is cycled and ready for fish.
We looked through all of the LR and could not find the blenny anywhere. He is black sailfin blenny so the coloration itself is already dark and can hide very well inside a rock. We have the 70+ lbs of LR in a tub with powerhead and a heater and I'm hoping to find the blenny soon.
Would trying to drop some food in the bucket tomorrow work?

worth a try and soak it down with some good garlic. I had heck finding my scooter bleeny when I took my 55 gall down. UGH!
Whyd you take the 55 down so soon?

The plan from the start was that as soon as the 75 is up and running we'll take the 55 down and put all fish into QT. I've suspected ick in the tank for a while but it has never flared up more than a few little specks on a Damsel. So I'm going to hypo the QT to be on the safe side.
It took us an extra 2 months to break it down and now that the 150 is getting water in tomorrow, the time in the QT is going to be perfect for them.
The 55 has had some nitrate problem for the past 2 months and I just haven't been able to bring it down. It's been around 20... CC bottom too. We didn't like the canister filter deal and when we rebuild the 55 as a frag tank or who knows what, it is going to have a sump.

Not yet :( He hasn't surfaced from the huge tub yet. I'm 100% sure he was in one of the rocks, I'm just hoping he didn't get too scared of all the hunting last night that he is in a shock. Today I'm going to go through every rock very closely checking to be sure he is nowhere there.

He may surprise you, and you may not find him till you put the LR into your new tank. They're pretty good at disappearing ~ I've lost mine, sometimes for a week or more, figure he went belly up, then all the sudden he shows back up. Still haven't figured out were it hides
. Long as you have powerheads and a heater, he'll probably be fine in the tub.

I'm just hoping that is not the case. I have to cycle my new tank first... but who knows, may happen what happend with my 75... no cycle at all. I have all established rock going in and LS too.
