55 gallon setup 11 years several soft corals, 1 regal tang, 50lbs live rock, approximately 2in sand bed with plenum underneath. Skimmer, wet/dry. I have purchased this tank off craigslist.

I'd suggest taking your livestock to a fish store and paying a $1 a day (or about that rate) and move your tank and properly cycle it all over again.
I'd also suggest getting rid of the plenum and either throwing your sand away and starting fresh or rinsing it really, really, really, really well in old saltwater - until it runs clear. A tank running that long with a plenum will have a lot of hydrogen sulfide built up in it - and it's going to smell really, really nasty.
