I have been looking for some ballast so I can do my own metal hailde setup for my 125g. I came across this. Someone is selling 4 new M0250-71C-213 250W M58 QUAD CWA ALUM SECONDARY metal halide ballast made by Howard. The cost is only about $80 for all 4 but I really only need 3. They are M58. My question is does anyone have any experience in this brand. It says it has an alum secondary. Is that a good or bad thing? Aluminium in wiring doesnt sound safe as most homeowner insurance wants nothing to do with that. I have to go cheap but I still want to be safe. Icecaps are just too expensive.
