HPS grow light?

Is this pretty much the same as a reg. metal halide for my tank or is it somehow different, cuz, it looks the same.

Nope. I'm not an lighting expert, but I know they aren't the same. The bulbs run off different ballasts, and I've never heard of an HPS bulb that has the correct spectrum for a reef tank.
