That looks really good, how's the temp running? What brand is that & what other modifications did you have to do? That's odd that you are getting bubbles from a MJ. Are you certain the tubing is secure? Did you tighten it down with plastic ties? I run a MJ 900 in mine, no bubbles .

I dont have the airline hooked up on the mj but the lil zip tie was loose on the inlet. I will try to find a bette fix for that. As far as the Hood I bought a rero kit from nano tuners. Its no teh easiest thing in the world to change it over. It came with no instructions so ittook a little time to figure out just how things were suppose to be. It came with a a bassast box and I had to put in the switch drill the holes for the power and run the 12 conductor cable out he other end. As far as the hood.I upgraded the fans to a highflow fan, a bit noisy though, my temps go from 76 to 78. So not bad.I reused the leds that came with the stock hood but you have to use a seperate 12v source for the lights and fans. The kit came with a 70 10k HQI bulb the ceramic caps, the heatshield, a thick piece of uv glassand all the wire. It also came with a thermo cutoff that you have to wire in for your hood. so it doesnt get too hot. and if it deos it will shut off the ballast.overall it seems pretty bright. I havent added any corals or anything yet after doing so.
The one thing nice is that can upgrade to a 150 later if i want without moding the hood. jus t not sure how much more heat that would give off. I am pretty happy with it. i like the stock look i was able to keep with upgrading to HQI.

Well i dug in the and replaced the zip tie on the mj, it was not even on the hose it was that loose. Do you all think that would be enough to cause the bubbles. I havent been adding else to my tank untill i get this figured out.I want ot start adding some corals but the microbubbles arent good for them. they have almost killed off my yellows zoo's i have had. they wont open with all the bubbles. Thanks again any help or suggestions always welcome
