I just joined this site this evening, I love the way it is set up. It was actualy recommended to me by my roommate who is a big hobbiest, and enjoys this site very much.
Anyway... my name is Dave, and I have been keeping freshwater for 10 years now. I am actually selling off my old tanks and putting thu dough down for a 36gal Corner Bow Front from all-Glass Aquariums. It's a hottt setup IMO.
Long story Short, I'm building my own stand, not purchasing one, because there is something about the proud feeling I get when I make another piece of furniture that seems unmatchable. Plus a nice professionally made hardwood stand is ALWAYS superior than paying $200 bones for a pre-fab piece of Pressboard with some laminate slapped on. Now it that isn't a RIPOFF, then I dunno what is?!
Anyways. I wanted to know if you all had some pictures of some Wicked handmade stands so that I can get some more ideas on some nice touches for my piece of Aquatic Artwork. I want to have EVERYTHING all built into the stand so that the only wire leaving it is the power wire to a Strip mounted inside. Everything else all contained and hidden within the stand.
Thanks for your pictures, and help,
-Dave
