hungry hungry(hippo)

I recently purchased a blue(hippo)tang,i've had it for about two weeks.only one small problem, the little guy won't eat his greens. He loves brine shrimp and flake, but i know this is not the main staple of his diet.i tried broccoli which was recomended to me by another site, it was not a sucsess.I also offered fresh rinsed romain lettuce, with a clip, under a rock, floating, he never touched it.
my tank is well established and all levels are checking out fine. any responce would be greatly appreciated, thank you all.

Well, to tell ya the truth, a tang can live w/ out greens. Just make sure you're adding a vitamin sup to its brine shrimp. And it'll prolly it algae off LR and aquarium decor. It'll prolly start to eat greens soon. Sometimes it just takes a fish awhile to start to eat new foods. TJ

I have the hippo tang, and I put seaweed selects on a clip and the guy goes crazy for it. Might take him awhile to get the idea, but soon or later it will. Also you can buy formual two which is made with green alge, and he should eat this up too.

Tangs need greens! Try o.s.i. spirulina flakes for now it is the next best thing to Seaweed Selects which you should also try.
