Are they good or bad, why?

Some are more harmless than others, what kind do you have? They sting things.

Those are ok, they will go away soon. They are common with a freshly cycled tank. I have had them before and they last for maybe 3 or 4 weeks and then disappear. I just used to hassle them by cleaning them off my glass every day.

no, this is all thats been in it for al least the last year, a miniatus grouper, and a clown trigger (which just died a week or two ago) no new live rock or any sand was added, i did however, scrub the glass of all the algee (its not my tank) because the tank was neglected for so long the live rock was laying everywhere and it looked terrible, so i cleaned off the algea, and rearanged the rock work yesterday.
