Hydroids!!!!!

So I am told that a Hydnophora will kill Hydroids....is this true?? Also, if it will kill them, will it also kill aptaisa??

I don't get it.... that's a coral. What is the mode/mechanism that would specifically kill a appy or hydroid?

Apparently due to the aggressiveness of the Hydrophora, it will sting and kill any hydroids next to them as if they were other corals.
