Hyosalinity - ich?

I sorry if I'm sounding stupid, just new into salt water fish. I was interested in knowing what you where referring to with treating ich with hyposalinity. I know hypo is over and salinity is salt level, right? We had a salesperson talk us into a Tang for our tank and within 12 hours it exhibited signs of ich. We got it out of our tank and took it back and ended up buying another small tank for quarantine. Now we are concerned that the tang spread ich into our tank. We also have 2 pink tip anemones, one goby, one gramma, 2 damsels, one horseshoe crab, snails (10), hermmies and pinchusion urchant. Our PH is 8.3; NO3 is 2.5, NO2 0.3 and NH3 NH4 is 0. Salanity is 1.022. We do have live rock also. We want to get more fish but aren't sure what kind. We have had no luck with clowns. Which is my favorite. Not sure why either and that bothers me. Any info is appreciated. :) :) Also, how do you quickly respond to someones answer without going to a new thread? Duh!
