After hypo didnt get rid of hippos ich, now coppersafe has been in for a few days and the hippo looks the same if not worse. He is active and eating but loaded with ich. After reading other posts I see that TerryB says coppersafe is crap and to use cuprimine, but I already put in the directed dosage of coppersafe. Any suggestions ? I think he is also stressed being in a 20 gallon. Thanks

I have a post called hippo disease which has recent pics. Beth has been helping me out. I used a refractometer and was in hypo for 3 weeks. When bringing up salinity again the ich came back. Then I started hypo again . 1.009 I started using coppersafe, and I notice from your posts that you dont like that product, but the ich looks huge now and more of it. Thanks

I think you are right when it comes to the face, but there definatly is little salt like specs on its body. you might notice it more on the black. Also there is a few specks on the blue damsel which I just noticed today. They are the only fish in the tank.I added copper about 7 days ago. Thanks

My camera wont pick up all the spots but I am talking about the white spots that you can see on the black. In person they are much more noticable . Also I see some on the tail of the damsel. Its a clear tail so its easy to see. Not being an expert I would say it definatly is ich.I just orderd Cupramine and a copper test kit if you think I should go with that .I also mixed up 10 gallons of saltwater @ 1.009 to do a water change. the tank is 20 gallon. Does this plan sound ok ? Should I change the carbons in the filter ? It is a power filter with 2 carbons and biowhells. In the meantime I will try to find your article. Thank-you
