I'm still undergoing Hypo. This started a few days ago:
When my powder blue tang scratches against corals only when he eats. Before he eats his coloring is pale. After he eats color changes from pale to dark, then pale to dark until lights go off for the evening. This changing of color happens every so often. No constantly thought the evening.
He is not fighting with anyone. but this is a new behavior. Do you think this could be the gill flukes my flamehawk died from on Sunday?
2nd question:
My percula clown (is a girl) and when she eats for 5 days now, she will take the food into her mouth, then spit it out. So she hasn't really "eaten" for 5 days now. I don't have any idea why. She's been in my tank for 1-1/2yrs. Color is perfect, doesn't act oddly or swim funny. Haven't changed brands of food either. The same food she has always eaten. Why is she doing this and is she ever going to eat again?
PS Terry, you asked me about the size of the flukes: the one large fluke size of medium pellet food, and the 4/5 small flukes size of very small pellet food. They are not round like the pellet, more oblong but very tiny. I can't think of anything else to compare it too except pellet food.
I'm worried I'm loosing my fish...tks for your advice
