Hypo with a UV?

I noticed about a week ago that my two lookdowns have ich. Since today, I started to hypo the tank, but the salinity level won't be 1.09 until tomorrow or the next day. In the meantime however, I purchased a 40W UV from the LFS.
My question is: Can I do hypo while having a UV hooked up to the tank?
