Hyposalinity effects on LR?

If I have a FO tank with LR, can I use Hyposalinity on the main tank, or are there ill effects on LR?

You can not use Hyposalinity in a tank that has LR.
Only FO.

i have this same problem, i have a yellow tang with ich also have 2 damsels in my 75 fowlr how can i cure the ich without moving him to another tank because i do not have a q tank

From a usage point of view, there is no difference between using copper and hyposalinity. Both cannot be used with LR or LS. The copper or change in salinity will kill some of the life in the LR or LS.
The only thing that is different after treatment is that hyposalinity does not add a potential toxic substance to your LR or LS (which copper has the potential to do).
EDIT: Lionsly, do a search on garlic. It is your best bet if you can't QT. But if you really want to save your fish, QT is by far the way to go.
