hyposalinity HOW LOW?

I was just wondering if while using hyposalinity as a treatment it has to be under a certain specific gravity. If so, at what point is it effective? I was told that anything under 1.015 is fine.

I've heard 1.09. Not 1.10 or higher. I'm pretty sure above that, parasites can survive, so then it's just pointless to do it at all. I doubt others are going to disagree. Try doing a search for hypo and see what you find.

Hyposalinity only becomes effective for treating ick at exactly 1.009. Nothing more than that.

Thanks for the answers guys, but how low is too low. I also heard that under 1.009 will kill all your fish. Is this true? How accurate do you have to be while doing this?
