I posted this in the disease thread but haven't got much response. I have read the sticky on Hypo but am still wondering the best way to lower SG. I have a 40 gal QT and was weondering if taking out 4 gals a day and replacing with saltfree RO water would be the best way to go. I know it said within 48 hrs but would that mean every 3-4 hrs I do this. Thanks for the help. :notsure:

i had my sailfin tang in hypo just recently, my qt is 26 gallons and i would replace 2 or 3 gallons once in the morning and then i the evening, if it wasn't going down fast enough you know within the 24 to 48 hr. period i would do it more often. it wasn't that hard, i did it over the weekend. do you have a refractometer. and then once i got it down i would check it every morning and just add some a fresh ro water to it to keep it there,
