i added a coral beauty to my reef... problems?

i studied up and most said it was really hit or miss... yet nobody said theres did anything wrong (nip) so i went for it...
here are my concerns: 1. he ruins my frogspawn. 2. i overstocked my tank by adding him...
everything has been fantastic for the last 6 months so i went for it. i have 6 fish in a 40 (all smaller).... 2 clowns, 2 firefish, 1 royal gramma, and 1 coral beauty...
should i be concerned?

Sorta pushing your stocking levels, watch your water quality. Just keep an eye on the coral beauty to make sure he isnt nipping your corals. Some do, some don't.

i already do... i do about 4.5 gallons per week, which is 15 %.

I have 6 fish in a 29 and i have had no problems. As long as they don't continuously chase each other. I do a bout a 4 gallon water change every week. sometimes i don't really feel like doing a water change one weekend and the fish are still fine.:jumping:

6 fish in a 40 gallon is pushing it. i only have 4 in my 55 and i think i have too many. as for the coral beauty, make sure he has plenty of seaweed sheets to eat on throughout the day and i think u will be fine. a 2" x3" sheet should do him good, but u gotta put one in everyday and whatever is not eaten has to get disgarded whe u put a new one in. keep him well fed and u should be fine.

I have a coral beauty in my tank and I have 2 frogspawns. He never bothers them. My elegance is another thing, he is slowly killing it. Besides this one instance I never had a problem.

well i got 14 in my 55 and their is no problems. one is a coral beauty. he doesnt bother any corals. they all get along fine. the tangs have a 400 gal tank to live in once they get to big for mine. i also have a 10 gal sump and 80lbs lr and my water is perfect. goin on 7 mons since moved from 29( not all fish were in the 29. and i have a frogspawn.

1 clown goby
1 watchman goby
1 coral beauty
1 scooter blennie
1 spoted mandarin
1 sand sifter goby
1 six line wrasse
1 yellow tang
1 blue surgeonfish
1 convict tang

any issues with your firefish? i noticed my bigger one is picking on the smaller... he's missing a bit from his tail.

Just to second jobob's post before people start to criticize...his tank is just beautiful. His tangs are happy. All the fish are happy, healthy, and very well-fed. The convict was really thin when he bought it, and now it's more plump and doesn't look like it's starving.
Also, I have a coral beauty in with my tree leather, mushrooms, and star polyps, and he's posed no problems.

if you are true and bleed green that board will piss you off.. constant complaining about EVERYTHING the team does... they lose to pitt and it's the end of the freakin season.. it's sad sometimes...
