How close to the top of the rise tube should the water level remain for optimal foam?
Keep in mind I have never run a skimmer before.

i have the foam about 1'' under the tube thing that the foam overflow the skimmate out of.. it is'nt really thick nasty like.. but it seem to be the best for my skimmer..
