I am considering getting Power Compact lights, I need Help

I have a 55 gallon tank, I know that I have to get a 48 inch Power Compact light fixture.
Do I have to get one fixture or two? How many lights does a fixture hold? What kind of wattage of lights should I get(28,55, or 96)? What price will I pay and are they worth it?
If anyone has helpful info I would be most appreciative, Thanks

we love our pc's, they give off real good light and really show off the fishes colrs, as far as how much and what type, that soleley depends on your type of system, right now we have one 10,000k (dual bulb) set up, however, before we start adding corals we will get more, 96's would be good, but extremely bright in your system, again your type of system will be vital here, another thing you want ot look at is the color of the light, equally as important as wattage for maany species of coral and inverts

I had a retrofit hood with 4 48 inch 96 watt lights on a 75 gallon, which worked great, however you have to take into account your tank shape and size, because the deeper you go , the less intense your lighting will be, which will limit the pacement of corals and inverts.

Do you have a wood hood? If you do, get some pc retros. They mount right to the bottom of your hood. I just got some 96w retros complete, for $91 including shipping! Post your e-mail address and i'll tell you where i got'em.
