you dont have to feed it your fish will give it food, and any food is more then it needs, as long as you have it under good lighting

I have read this a few times, what does it mean the clown / fish will give the anemone food? Is it the coating the fish produces on its body being transferred to the nem, detrius, or something else?
Thanks for the clarification,
Chris

In aquariums clownfish are frequently seen carrying pieces of food (mysis shrimp, etc.) and spitting it into the anemone.
Strong lighting is certainly the best food for anemones.

Agreed, if you have good lighting feeding won't even be necessary, add that to the fact your clown will carry chunks of food back to the anemone.
