I've read that it's supposed to be with canning supplies, and I've tried several stores. Still haven't tried Walmart yet, I'll do that this weekend. Our Walmart isn't one with a grocery dept. Do the regular Walmart's carry this?
I'm having the same problem. I went to Walmart and they don't carry it. They suggested a Super Walmart. I haven't checked their website yet though.
I found some pickling mixes with the canning goods, but not just regular lime.
So the Ball's pickling mix at meijers may be ok as long as it is 100% calcium hydroxide?
I don't think it was, there were two different mixes, one for making bread and butter pickles and one for sweet pickles.
