you know if the roles were flipped. This and other video's like this would be all over the front page. And the steady drumbeat of reporters would be giving their "expert" opinions on how there would be no way the republican president could sign this.

Ironically ,all the Tea Party events i have been too haven't been Republican rallies.Democrats have made there presence known as well as Independents. There have been speakers from all party's and none of them are happy with the direction our country is headed. Its been more of a Pro-American movement then anything else.Pretty much all people that attend are tired of partisan politics , both parties have forgotten that they represent the people not themselves.

The guy makes a great point without really meaning to.
The current crop of legislators, actually for as long as I can remember, try to guess what those who created the constitution had in mind. All you need to do is read the MANY writings of those who wrote and voted for the articles in the constitution or bill of rights to understand exactly what they had in mind.
The federal government has limited authority to regulate health care. Because of the often misused and abused interstate commerce clause I believe they do have the right get involved in how the services are delivered. I don't believe that gives them the right to allow or ban controversial procedures, the tenth amendment leaves those decisions up to the states.

I would be willing to bet 95% of the country has never read those papers and atleast 80% of our current politicians have never read them....thus why we have the problems we have. This is something that should be taught in high school.

I would bet that 80% of our politicians have not read the US Constitution let alone Federalist papers or any other writings of our fore fathers. There are many people here and abroad who believe that the US Constitution is a living breathing document that means something differently today than it did at the time it was written.I can not tell you how very much i disagree with that.
The US Constitutions still means exactly what it meant when it was signed in 1787,granted some wonderful amendments where added and rescinded but it still is the same today as it was yesterday as it was in 1787.

I think an online class providing an in depth study of just the bill of rights would be a great idea. If people really understood just that part of the laws regulating our government it would make a world of difference. Better way to spend your on line time than reading all the stupid political blogs.
