I know that PH, alk. and Calcium are all related to each other some how. So I don't understand why my alk. won't go down. MY readings have been:
PH 8.2 ALK. 2.8 ( Not sure if # is correct but acording to chart it is on the high side of norm.) and my Calcium is 400.
Last week my ALk jumped to 3.6. MY PH was still 8.2 and my Calcium was still 400.
My calcium did go down a bit over a day or two, but I have it back up to 400,(used KENT liquid calcium) my PH is still 8.2 but my ALK won't go down.(Still 3.6)
I don't understand. I also don't kow what to do.
I do 10% water changes every Fri. I use Instant ocean Salt. It was on Mon. I think I got the high reading so I did a 10% water change. I did anoter one on Wed. and 1 again yesterday cause it was FRI.
Any ideas? Thanks.
