i don't want the 50/50 lighting

is it ok to run just the blue light in my 12g nano cube? the lfs around here has just blue lights and the colors look amazing. i don't know if they have different lights turning on other times, but would it be ok if i switched to just teh blue actinic lights?

the actinic's are just a supplement to make the corals flouresce. The day light bulbs are necessary for growth. You could get a 12k instead of a 10k bulb and it would be a little more blue.

Depending on just how blue these bulbs are, you could have an algae issue popping up after a few weeks...

Do you have all your lights turning on at the same time? You can adjust your photoperiod so that your "blue" actinics turn on an hour before and an hour after your "day" lights.
