Signs of stress to watch for...with new croceas, and the stress of being moved, handled, etc. you may see what is called "gaping". This is where the larger hole at the bottom, is much larger than normal. Give it time and if your parameters are kept in check, he will stop doing this in a week or so. Bad sign to watch for is called "pinched mantle"...that is where a portion of the mantle pinches or folds back. We won't talk about that now..let's send positive energy your way...good luck!
I do have him under metal halides, and that's where he seemed to "scooch", further into the light. I will definitely keep an eye on things, but tonight he's opening and closing when he should...
As far as acclimating him to location, how long should I leave him on the sand? He is by some rocks that he seems to like and I don't want to move him if I don't have to. I would rather not wait til he gets himself all stressed if I don't have to. I'm thinking that I will just wait and watch...like that's a problem
Thanks for the replies.
