Here it is. It is about 6 hours old now and is 3 gallons. I plan to put a clownfish and a royal gramma in it and thats all other than corals. I have a quastion tho. It has an 18 watt 50/50 14 000 k bulb high lights for aa 3 gallon. cause im planning on puting small coral frags in it like xenia anenome and other.
Also to boost up the cycle, I got the sand and water from my 60 gallon tank. And the live rock is from my LFS.

well its not really a nano but it a pico, anyways i doubt you will see a cycle if it is already cycled water sand and rock, i would let it be and just give it a week or 2.

That is the problem.
I need help on finding a cheap hardy nano fish for this thing. NO DAMSELS. TOO AGGRESIVE. Also, Im starting to get brown algea on my sand.

I have the same tank, and before i got it i planned on puting a clown goby in it. But when i got it and realized how small it was, i figured to just stay with inverts and coral.

are you planning on topping up the tank? the water level looks a bit low! a yellow clown goby is a nice fish too!

It has a lid on it so that the water that evaporates gettes caught on the cover and fall back into the tank. but incase that dose not work, I add water from my 60 gallon tank into the 3 gallon tank. I was planning on puting a yellow watchmen goby in it.

Why not make a shelf above to the side of your bigger tank and drill/bulkhead the pico to the maintank with a powerhead feeding it and then you won't have any temp, ph, cycle, etc problems and except for the small size and constraints to you could safely keep a small anemone and clown. Would be like a small extention of the larger tank and the real threat of causing any harm to an anemone/fish in a tank that small would be all but diminished.

clever idea flric..that sounds like a pretty cool idea! i dont get the powerhead idea though?? would the powerhead be pumping the water from the 60g to the pico?

Yes. The pico needs to be above the water level of the main so thr bulkhead return works. I had one one time a couple eyars back like that ands it worked fine. The tank was acrylic though and scatched too easy. It was one of those 5gl walmart jobs.

I can't do that because:
1. My 60 gal tank is about 4 feet and 10 inches high and then I wont be able to see the nano if it is that high.
