I got coralline only growing in my skimmer!

i can't grow it in my tank. But where my hadiles shine a little bit on my hang on skimmer(updated seaclone...works extremely well). It's growing red on the tube and on the out pour spout too. Any thoughts why it likes it there and not the rest of my tank? Beautiful coralline. I wish the rest of my tank was like that.

Welcome to coralline. If you can get to it and scrub it off and place the coralline and water back in your tank (seeding your tank) It may take hold on some rock and glass. From what i have read it likes low light areas, min grows all over and i have Mh lights If your levels are good and on target, it will start to prout soon enough.

Mine started to grow on my equipment also. Powerhead, skimmer return, overflow box. Then all of sudden it started to spread to the rocks and glass. I agree with maintaining the proper calcium levels and it should only be a matter of time.

I use purple up once in a while and now my corralline is growing everywhere. I like it though on my powewrhead, it's pink and red and with the black backgroung it really stand out!!
