So after much consideration, I have decided to break down my 16 gallon and go with a seahorse tank. What do you think of this tank? It is a 30 gallon half moon tank and I can get a decent deal. I like the fact that it is nice and tall.

I've seen those, and I'm interested to see how they look as a seahorse tank. If you're getting the included LED lighting, be aware that it's basically useless for any coral you can think of -- it's just to illuminate the animals. I don't even think it will be effective for macros, but I'm not sure on that point.

The lights that come with it are barely enough for accent lighting, let alone keeping anything alive. I'm not sure what I am going to do for lighting. I might go with a PAR 38 bulb.

Now THAT would be interesting to see! Definitely tagging along for the ride.

The tank is on clearance and I am waiting for the 30% discount that I will get in a couple of weeks. I already have the filter. I need to find a chiller.

How did I miss this lol slacken. I have eyed those tanks at petsmart, they are nice looking. A rock wall in back would look really nice and leave room in front for horses.
something like this - though I do like the rock work and plants in the tank picture at the top

I will post pics of the tank and stand I am getting today when I am done work. I'm still not sure which horses to go with, but I have already scraped one of my fish off the list. I was going to add a catalina goby, but I don't think the tank is going to be cold enough for them. I'm planning on running the tank at 72.

I am definitely going the rock wall route. I already have one built and just need to add to it.

I am getting my tank tomorrow!!!
I think I am going to go with a simple tank with a foam rock wall that will incorporate fake plants and a feeding dish. I will have some small pieces of rock on the bottom. I might do some macro and a sponge. I am excited.

Hi Gemmy,
I really like the half moon tank, and with a rock wall it will look awesome....LOL...Don't forget the pictures or it didn't happen. My Aqua Euro chiller arrived today....so you know my choice.

Sorry for the hijack.

I'll post the step by step process that I use when I made it. Hijacks are welcome in my threads. They can bring to light some good info.
I did not buy the tank tonight. My store was too busy and I was short handed, but it will be in possession by the end of the weekend. I plan on ordering a whole bunch of stuff this weekend for my tanks.
