Just in case no one looks at the old thread here are
some pic of the tank that i set up. its a 29 gal bio cube.
the fish that is in there isnt going to stay. he is a loner
to get the cycle going. but if he starts stressing out he goes.
but i caint seem to get the lr right. i do like how it ledges
in the back. but maybie i am too much of a perfectionist.
i welcome good and bad comments. so lay er on me.BTW
i have 29 lbs of lr and 40 lbs of ls i also put some grape algie
in to help with the nitrate. but we all know in a coupple of weeks
i will be
overwelmed with it the first 3 are the most recent. some of the rocks were changed from the last two. but the first three are ones i took today. the others were when i first got the rock.
the other fish tank in the background is one of my 13 fresh water tanks

shure do hope you guys have some suggestions. and thanks for all the help to everyone that helped me get these photos on here.

thanks!! there is a rock that is on the bottem and then all of them are centerd around that. its like a big cave in the middle. if you look through a hole in the rock you can see this huge cave in the center. the pic doesnt show that though. its fun to see the fish pop out in places i wouldnt expect him to BUT i will try something diffrent maybie. thanks!!!

Not as long you don't stir up the sandbed.

you have a good start, it takes some time of moving around to get it just the way you want it, but i like your rocks, and you can always get more rock, oh remember most coral comes on rock.

Have you had any problems with your 29G biocube (Oceanic)? I have heard that the 29G has some problems with the setup. Did you do a lot of research before you purchased your tank, how did it compare to other nanocubes?
Thanks
Jesse

i havent had any problems so far. but i will tell you. the stand is DUMB putting together. it would be worth the $ to pay someone to do it. it leaves out instructions. also the hood has no hinges or anything. it does have 2 small opening to get in and out but if you want to do major work you have to take the whole thing off...but for me if i am getting that in depth in my tank. i dont want the thing in my way anyway. the light is a little loud but i think that is just because i am not used to it. but yes i did do alot of reserch before i got the tank. i am going to do more filter work than what it has. but thats just because i want a lot of bioload in there. if you guys like i can scan a sheet that i have about the bio cube and post it(if i havent thrown it away) but if i had the choice i would get anather one....as far as compairing it with other nano cubes. they all have there perks and downs. i just liked that it was 29 gal. the back like takes up like 4 gallons of space. then when you put ur sand in and rocks...there isnt much room..(for all i want lol) but if you only get like a 24 gal it takes that much more space. so for me and my pocket book it was the best choice. but you ought to go with your gut. do what you feel will work for you the best...oh yeah i also got a nano skimmer...havent started using it yet but will let ya know how it works hopes this helps you out

Nice looking setup. I also have a 29gal biocube that has been running a little over two weeks now. My biggest complaint so far is opening the front hatch. It is very stiff. You can see a couple of pics in the "Wading In" thread
What is the plastic red thing in the tank?
