I had a dream last night, what do you think?

My dream was about one of my tanks. In my dream I had just gotten home from work. I look at my tank as it is the first think you see when you come in. My water is orange!!!! Also all my fish are black and they are missing their flesh. They are swimming around fine but I can see their bones as they do this.
Needless to say I woke up at 2:30 in the morning and checked my tank and it was fine......
People say dreams can mean things or warn us of things....any ideas the reason behind this dream or was it just because I was drinking vodka on the rocks last night?

Does anyone ever have a pleasant dream about their fish tanks? I have not heard of one.
I think bad dreams about your tank steam from all the fears we have that something bad will happen to the tank or the animals. So many unknowns and hapless perils in this hobby, that it gives us nightmares.

In High School I had a buddy that had a dream he got up in the middle of the night and urinated in his shoes. He woke up the next moring to find his shoes wet -- Hmmmm.

When I worked at the zoo, all the zookeepers used to talk about their weird dreams, they were almost always about dangerous animals escaping and the carnage that insued. I had a pretty horrific one about lions when I was working in that area.
Like Beth said, you think about bad things happening to your tank in the back of your mind, so you have dreams about it. Not the other way around IMO.

I've have dreams about the house being on fire and trying to get my stars out.

In one, we come home to see the house burned to the ground, nothing left but the frame, the tank fell through the floor but wasn't broke, still running and the stars were fine. In another I'm fighting with the fire fighter who won't let me go get the stars, he keeps asking me if ANYONE is in there, I'm screaming that my stars are, I have to get them, he says he'll go, I said okay, but you have to wash your hands first. Then he gives me a crazy look. :needhelp:

lol.. that grrand!!! 'wast your hand 1st!!" hahahahah hahhaha wow thats funny.. i have yet to dream of my tank.. i stare at her a minimum oc 30 minute a day... and ahother 10 min at my bro's tank... so ill tell u guyz of another mans missfortun but also his luck
some guy had hin 90 gal acrylice tank in his office upstairs.. it was as nice as can be.. one day he came home from work and smelt a burning smell.. so he cheacks around the 1st floor and finds nothing.. so he makes his way up and bam!! it hit him.. his office was in ashes but that was it... a fire started on one of his sockets and burt up the room.. it would have spread but the fur's heat.. melted his acrylic tank and put out the fire....... so all in illl.. he lost his home office and his 'baby'.. but it was sacrafice to save his house....
