i hate diatoms

tank is about a week old after cycling. I got 4 nassarius snails in there right now, will they take care of the diatom outbreak or does it go away on its own? I'm forgetting the answer and its been bugging me for the last hour as i keep seeing more and more diatoms in my tank

they will go away on thier own, im having the same problem in my tank. Sucks but worth the wait.. hehe

good luck dude! I run across these posts from time to time and see lots of before and after pics and am blown away that these snails really do clean it up. The snails will love you for it.

I have a diatom problem as well. But its starting to go away slowly.
