I hate frag plugs, I need a creative solution.

When I buy corals, I usually like to buy frags. I'm sure that my tank would probably look better if I bough full sized corals, but I like to see them grow.
I hate frag plugs. I know that the coral should eventually overgrow the plug but I hate looking at them until they do.
Does anyone do anything creative to cover those unsightly frag plugs? I'm not talking about when I frag a coral I'm talking about when I buy a frag from someone and it already comes mounted on a plug.

If they aren't overgrown too bad on the plug they snap right off, otherwise it's tough. I hate frag plugs in my main display too

I agree, I just take the coral off the plug and attach it to where it will live.

+1 remove it from the plug.
i then find a small piece of liverock from my sump and adhere it to that. looks better than a plug!

I'm usually too timid to snap the coral off the plug, so I use a hammer and chisel to break the plug into a tiny gravel-sized piece that I can glue anywhere. I have also glued sand and rubble to the plug to make it lose its geometric form.
