if i were to put a shelf above my fish tank, like a wire shelf, and put 48" Extreme Orbit 2x130watt SunPaq with Lunar Lights & Fan
and also a 48" Jebo 4x 65 watt PC lights on it
would i be getting 480 watts ?
and also is that a good idea?

Most likely not. The wire shelf will shield some of the wattage. Same as if you put egg crate between your tank and the light. Probably very small loss.

hmm if i could get a shelf or maybe the brackets for a shelf that sticks out
do you the two lights would work?

Oh the bracket idea is good. That way you would not restrict the light at all and the fixture could rest on the brackets. Just make sure the bracket is at least as *long* as the fixture is wide.

i went to my local hardware store and bought 2 brackets that extended 20" long so i could fit both of my lights on it. i havent installed them yet, but im hoping this will work
