I have ich on two fish help

I have two fish that show ich on them. I'd like to try the hypo but should I drop the salinity right down or over a couple days?. Also If I treat my fish in a Quarantine tank what about the tank I have taken the fish out of?. Is the tank ok, or do I have the treat the tank also with something?.

lower the salintiy slowly over a week. in both tanks. do a water change in the main tank. if you can, try to use cleaner shrimp in the quarentine tank.
